-
Introductory Note
This small unit relates to the Bewsey family and their property interests, largely in Horsington, over 200 years. Little trace of original bundling remained and they have been re-arranged in order of acquisition (or other interest) by various generations of the family; unless otherwise specified this is to be taken as the latest given date in each bundle concerned. With them are some records of Charles Stokes, sometime manager of the Sherborne Branch of the Wilts. and Dorset Bank, who died in 1905 and whose daughter, Kate, married John L. Bewsey.
