She has just received the telegram from Allenswood (of the death of Mlle Souvestre) She has written to Miss Samaia and hopes she will come to stay with her. The Exhibition of her husband's pictures very successful; he has been promised a good write up in Le Mercure de France. But all the time she thinks 'how wretched it is that there is no Mlle Souvestre to tell it to and that if Simon is successful half the pleasure of it will be gone'. Sent from La Souco.
