07 February 1815. To James Crummer (——): Wish to have his accounts. Low prices of corn. Doubts whether par[liamen]t will do anything to rectify it. To Lay down as much of my land in grass as can be done & to prepare no more land for wheat than the state of the farm requires, but to go on breaking up land to put it in condition. Int[eres]t due on L[or]d O[xford]'s bond behind. To warn purchasers thereof.
13 February 1815. To James Crummer (——).: Have rec[eive]d his acc[oun]ts. Cannot immediately discharge the ballance [sic] against me. Do not wish Newton to be too hard pressed. Thank him for new Pengarrick tenant. Dates of Turnpike bonds in my possession.
19 February 1815. To James Davies (——).: Interest in arrear on L[or]d O[xford]'s bond. My application to Messrs. Jones & Green. Amount of M[or]tgage £3,400. Date of assignment May 12 18098. Names of Trustees. Query if the whole sum is to remain on M[or]tgage. Interest to be paid in London.
23 February 1815. To James Crummer (——).: Send him Draft on the firm £374. 15[s.] 9d. ballance [sic] of his acc[oun]t. Shall remember my son about the furze seed & shall consult Parker with him about the letting [of] Stonehouse to Ferrier. But should we give him any power to subset it, can only be to an experienced farmer. Am glad Mr Webb has taken to the allotment of Kinnert. There must be further consideration before we bid again for Badland Manor. Repeat that the greatest part of Stonehouse etc. should be laid down in grass. J. Miller's illness.
