-
Wishing Sybil a happy birthday and apologising for having no gift to send but promising a cheque from both parents for Christmas and New Year. Hoping Sybil and Dick are well: she has had another cold. Has made Christmas puddings. News of family. Confirms all family safe and that the lights are on again in the house. Looking forward to Spring and Summer. Reminds her that she has not been home since August 1938 and suggests she comes for Christmas.
