Administrative / biographical background

The Royal Gloucester Lodge was named and established in 1785 and met at the Bell Inn, Southgate Street, Gloucester. In 1802 the lodge moved to the Upper George Tavern, Westgate Street, Gloucester. The lodge was erased in 1851.
