North America: United States of America, east coast: Maine State to Canada, east coast: Nova Scotia, vicinity
'Plan of the western province of New Brunswich and part of the Bay of Fundy and River St Lawrence, also of the adjacent territory of the United States of America shewing [sic] the boundary line as it existed before the War of 1812, and the new occupied teritory on the Penobscot'. Survey shows coastline, ships tracks (British fleet, August 1814), topography, vegetation, roads, settlements, buildings, fortifications, territorial boundaries, land marks and remarks, including the survey was 'sketched from a survey of G [George] Sproule, Surveyor General of New Brunswick, H Flg [Henry Fleming] Senhouse, RN [Royal Navy]'. Colour manuscript. Latitude and longitude indicated; north point, showing true and magnetic north. Scale: 9.9 inches to 40 British statute miles. Attributed to George Sproule and Henry Fleming Senhouse, as suggested by remarks. Annotated with pencil: squaring
