Thirty seven small octavo or duodecimo notebooks of Margaret, Duchess of Portland, containing, anecdotes, extracts in prose and verse, lists of pictures, notes on botany and other branches of natural history, a few rough accompts, etc; together with a quilted green silk pocket-book containing memorandum tablets, etc., and a printed "Catalogue of the collection of the Rt. Hon. Edward, Earl of Oxford", including pictures, antiquities, prints and drawings, etc., to be sold 8-12 Mar, 1741-2, with purchasers' names and prices.
