13 Dec 1732 trustees appointed for managing the workhouse

4 Nov 1733 workhouse and Garter Ale house to be insured.

8 Dec 1733 (following) copy of faculty for a vault for William Bunbury Esq.

6 Mar 1737 account of all sums of money given for the poor for coal, and for apprentising, and how invested.

5 Aug 1742 churchwardens acknowledge receipt of Alderman Barber's legacy for enlarging the church yard.

8 Dec 1743 Counsellor George Ballard's opinion concerning distraint for rates, quoting statue of 43 Elizabeth.

18 Oct 1747 no tomb stones or monuments to be erected in the new part of the churchyard without the consent of the vestry, and no person of another parish to be buried before payment of 20s.

30 Oct 1752 price for enclosure for sole use of any family to be 7s. 6d. per sq. ft.

11 April 1757 John Stalker, lessee of the tithes from John Spencer, claims fees due to him from burials in the old part of the church yard.

11 July 1757 order for a reward of 5s. to the Beadle to convict barbers trading on Sunday.

5 Mar 1758 report that Princess Amelia had given £50 for the purchase of a [fire] engine.

25 Nov 1759 overseers ordered to provide coal for the workhouse.

16 Oct 1760 dispute concerning Mr Dilkes, Master of the workhouse and vestry clerk.

24 Nov 1760 Margaret Stoffall appointed Mistress of the workhouse.

13 Sept 1761 Petition to the Archbishop of Canterbury to defer the repair of the church clock and cupola for one year because the parish is overburdened with poor.

1 Sept 1766 the engines [fire engines] ordered to be repaired.

30 Jan 1773 new trustees for the Star and Garter and other lands and houses.

8 Mar 1773 ground belonging to the parish let on a building lease for 61 years at £5 15s. 6d. p.a.

15 Mar 1781 order to re open a footpath stopped up by Mr Hill.

1 Apr 1782 notice concerning the alarming bags of insects hanging on the hedges and trees which 'may be productive of the plague ... or some other pestilential disorders, rewards to be offered for collecting and burning them.

9 Sept 1782 (following) evidence relating to the Parish Case concerning the right of the officiating curate to fees and emoluments from the church and old and new churchyards.

Begins with copy of lease by the Dean and Chapter of Worcester to the trustees in the will of the Duchess of Marlborough, of the rectory of Wimbledon etc. 8 Jan 1746/47; extracts from church wardens' accounts, orders in vestry, and opinion of the Attorney General. L. Kenyon 17 Mar 1784.

10 July 1785 Churchwardens' subpoenaed to attend Quarter Sessions at Guildford relating to rates for land in Richmond Park.

3 Aug 1787 to consider how to carry out intention of Royal Proclamation for suppressing vice. Report of committee for suppressing Mortlake Fair.

26 Sept 1787 (following) copy of opinion of John Scott of Lincoln's Inn concerning burial fees.
