This, the seventh volume of Additional Manuscripts (Add Mss), is a copy of a catalogue compiled by various persons before the documents were deposited in the West Sussex Record Office. The style of cataloguing, the abbreviations used and the treatment of place-names and personal names differ considerably from those employed in the other volumes of Additional Manuscripts, but it is hoped that the catalogue will, nevertheless, be sufficiently clear
No list of contents is given as the collection, consisting solely of title deeds and allied papers, was arranged alphabetically under parishes by the depositor
