Administrative / biographical background

St James, Blendon was built in 1937 as a chapel of ease for the Parish of St John's, Bexley to serve the new suburb of Blendon. The Chapel was dedicated the same year by the Bishop of Rochester. In 1990 it was erected into a Parish in its own right.
