These volumes give a good overview of the financial affairs of the Company during the period 1803-1834. The contents include statements of its cash balances from time to time, its borrowings and lendings, movement of bullion, rates of interest on stock, and purchase of Exchequer bills. There are copies of correspondence between the Director and the Chancellor of the Exchequer, the Treasury, the Bank of England, brokers and bullion dealers and Mr N M Rothschild.
