Description

Collection of 17 loose printing-out paper prints, captioned in ink on the reverse. The photographs show views of Wei Hai Wei, British officers and men of H.M.S. Eclipse, and a group with Sir Ernest Satow and the Viceroy of Nanking. The photographs perhaps relate to the transfer of Wei Hai Wei to the British as a treaty port in 1898.
