Description (What the record is about)
-
Staff records survive particularly well. There is a series of Registers of Officers from 1840-1907 (H11/HLL/C/01), and there is a large series of applications for posts at the Asylum (H11/HLL/C/02). There is also a series of letters of recommendation and testimonials (H11/HLL/C/03). Records of offences by staff (H11/HLL/C/05, H11/HLL/C/06) and the tea fund books, rule books and uniform books also survive (H11/HLL/C/07-C/09). Artisans' wages books are included as they list the men by name (H11/HLL/C/10).
