Description: The volumes contain lists of officers forwarded to East India House by the Madras Adjutant-General. Some officers also appear in the muster rolls for 1762 and 1765 (see L/MIL/11/109). A quarterly Madras Army List was published in India from 1810 to 1895 (continued in the Indian Army List) and after 1846 the published version only was returned to London
