This committee was appointed at a Council meeting held on 16 May 1845 to arrange a dinner for the officers of the King's Cheshire Yeomanry during their term of duty in the city. The committee met from 19 May to 25 Aug. 1845 and the dinner was held at the Albion Hotel, now the Talbot Hotel, in Lower Bridge Street on 3 June 1845. These minutes refer to a similar dinner held in 1844, and this volume also contains minutes dated 12 June 1846 relating to a dinner to be held at the Exchange in that year
