Also includes abstract of title of a house, with bakehouse etc abutting west on John Corner, south on the highway from Castle Bank and the theatre to the Weighing Engine, 1800-1824, copy conveyance from John Dudeney, schoolmaster to George Hopper, baker in 1871 of land near Lancaster Street abutting on the east a passage between it and the garden of the Naval Prison originally part of Townsends Field, and bill head of Henry Card and Sons, builders 1868. In 1795 a piece of land (part of the orchard belonging to the original house in (DL/D 145/6) abutting the highway from the churchyard of St Johns to Greenwall on the south was sold by Thomas Mantell and John Weller to Robert Dunn and Amon Wilds who built 2 houses on it. They sold the property in 1802 to John Banfield and William Cooper ho sold to Richard Bax, cowkeeper, in 1813. He sold to James Butland, carpenter, in 1818 (now only one house) who resold almost immediately to William Huggett, baker. In 1838 Huggett sold the property and a piece of land (the north part of DL/D 145/6) to Michael Porter, miller, who in 1860 sold it to the executors of Ebenezer Weller. They then sold to George Hopper, baker in 1867. He died in 1890 and Lucy his wife in 1896. Their executors then sold to Messrs Frederick Saunders Smith and Richard Smith, merchant millers in 1896.
