Folio 195. Letter from Charles Wright, Clerk to the Guardians of the Mitford and Launditch Poor Law Union, to the Local Government Board, referring to their letter of 27 February 1875 which has been considered by the guardians and referred to the visiting committee. As a result he reports that a copper has been erected for the bath in connection with the male infirmary. However, with regards to the girls' workhouse and bath room, the committee on considering the healthy condition of the girls under the present arrangement did not feel justified in recommending any further expense in that respect.
Annotated: 'Mr Fleming, I think these small matters might be left to the Guardians. I know several churches which are not warmed', 4 March 1875.
