The Industrious Lodge was named and established in 1776 and met at The Fleece, The Parade, Canterbury, Kent. In 1783 the lodge moved to the King's head Inn, High Street, Canterbury. In 1819 the lodge united with lodge No. 37 of the Saracen's Head, Burgate Street, Canterbury to become the United Industrious Lodge. The united lodge continued to met at the King's Head Inn, High Street, Canterbury. The United Industrious Lodge No. 31 now meets at the Masonic Temple, St Peter's Street, Canterbury.
