-letter from Simpson to Mr Musgrave, dated 15 July 1955, concerning purchases made by Lord Irwin in the 18th century; and photocopies of two handwritten documents recording picture purchases, undated

-annotated exhibition catalogue 'Old masters from the Edward James collection, July 16th to August 20th 1966, Worthing Art Gallery', interleaved with a handwritten note concerning the sale of pictures, undated (1p)

-letter from Letitia Simpson to Mrs Wentworth Chetwynd, dated 24 March 1948, and typed notes (1p), concerning the ownership of a portrait of Thomas Jefferson which belonged to John Jay

-six letters exchanged between Simpson and Nicholas Argenti, dated 12 February-11 August 1953, concerning pictures in the collection of Charles Jennens (1700-1773)

-typed 'List of pictures etc., belonging to Lord Jersey, stored at [the] depository of Messrs. le Gallas & Sons, St. Helier, destroyed by fire 30th September 1949', undated (4pp)

-letter from S.C. Kaines Smith, dated 16 September 1931, concerning pictures by Marcus Gheeraerts in his collection

-annotated photocopy of 'A catalogue of a genuine and highly select collection of sixteen pictures...collected by a nobleman...which will be sold by auction, by Mr H. Phillips...on Tuesday, the 21st of May, 1811'. The catalogue has been annotated to show the collection was owned by Lord Kinnaird
