John Henden of Biddenden in Kent, kt, to Henry Barnes of Sedlescombe, yeoman, and his son John Barnes

1 Messuage called Cripses where Widow Dawson lives with a barn, garden and orchard and four pieces of freehold land (20a) in Ewhurst (S: road from Staple Cross to Battle; W: copyhold land late Anthony Reeve of Biddenden, gent, deceased, occupied by Widow Dawson; N, E: land of the Earl of Leicester)

2 Piece of freehold land (1½a) in Ewhurst (W: woodland late John Freebody, gent, deceased; N, E, S: road)

3 Six pieces of freehold land and wood (15a) called Taylers in Ewhurst (S: road from Staple Cross to Battle; W, N: land of the Earl of Leicester; E: copyhold land late Anthony Reeve of Biddenden, gent, deceased, occupied by Widow Dawson)

Recites: ownership of Anthony Reeve, who bequeathed them (with other lands) to his only daughter and heir Sarah Reeve, since the wife of Edward Peirson, esq, deceased, and now of Charles Tufton, esq; settlement of this and other land by Edward and Sarah Peirson by fine on trustees (Thomas Brickenden, gent, Herbert Randolph, Richard Wells and John Bateman), 19 Charles I[1643 -1644]; death of Brickenden and Randolph; conveyance by Wells and Bateman the survivors (with the consent of Edward and Sarah Peirson) to JH by deed enrolled in chancery, 16 May 1645
