Four boxes of material concerning the day-to-day management of the Sunniside Estate, its tenants, leaseholders and pensioners, together with full financial accounts. Correspondence on the granting of Wayleaves for the Electricity Board, mineral extraction, shooting and fishing rights, timber conservation, road maintenance and rights of way, tithe payments and land tax is included, all leading to the sale of individual holdings and the winding up of the Estate by the Trustees, as filed and documented by Captain G. Miller, Estate Manager from 1930 to 1974

The Estate Codes that he used are still shown on the files, although re-coded (in pencil) on the top RH corner by the museum Archive Dept. Estate Code files numbered S2, S4, S8 were not found in Box 1. Estate Code files numbered S13, S14, S16, S20, S21, S22, S23, S24, S26, S27, S30 were not found in Box 2
