<span class="wrapper"><p>This collection of title deeds, estate and family papers was deposited in the Devon Record Office by The Rev. and Mrs. L.M. Bate in 1977-1978, but the records are closely linked with those deposited by Mrs. Ley in the former City Record Office in 1963. The catalogue of these latter documents, collection 63/2, should be consulted in conjunction with this catalogue.</p> <p>This collection includes an additional deposit of papers which were amalgamated with 2741 M, and were catalogued as part of the one collection.</p> <p>A later, uncatalogued deposit of deeds and papers dating from the 18th century onwards can be found at 2741 M-1.</p></span>
