Description (What the record is about)
-
The Deanery, Pontesbury, Salop.
Richard T. Seddon to Swire.
'I cannot write plainer that I have done I am willing to take the whole of the Parish of Pontesbury except Longden and Cruckton. Cruckton is not the Parish church of the second portion, there is only one Parish Church of Pontesbury the only difference between Cruckton and Asterley is that Cruckton is consecrated and Asterley is not, there is no more necessity to take two services in Cruckton than there in any of the other Chapels of Ease to the Parish Church, 'should much prefer to keep Cruckton than exchange for Asterley'. He only makes the proposition he has in order to make a better arrangement for the third portion. The arrangements now made with the third portionist are quite satisfactory to him and Seddon is proposing to take a further portion of the Parish off him, 'I cannot do more'.
