Two 60 horse power double-acting crank engines, with [38 inch cylinders], 7 foot strokes, parallel motions, [cast iron beams, cast iron connecting rods].Reverse plan and sections of the engine and boiler houses and boilers, original cross-section of engine house, plan of the tunnels; sketch section of boiler and floor levels; press copy sketch of crank shaft block; sketch plan of steam and stop pipes; sections of steam pipes [?]; valve [?] . The reverse drawings bear letter codes.
Also uncoded coloured drawings: plan of the engine and boiler houses and chimney dated 8 Jun. 1839, elevation of entrance end of engine house, section of engine house dated 8 Jun. 1839, plan of the premises, canals and surrounding land.
Also the following drawings sent by Wren & Bennett: crank shaft - coloured full size section; plan of the tunnels and covering plates, plan of the engine house, plan of the stonework at the engine house floor and crank - these drawings are copies made by Boulton Watt & Co.; section of the engine house showing staircases, cistern etc. These drawings were numbered by Wren & Bennett.
Also the following later drawings: 12 inch slide cock, Nov. 1850; steam, feed and emptying pipes - partially coloured original and reverse drawings dated 2 Dec. 1850; steam pipes - partially coloured original and reverse drawings dated 27 Nov. 1854. These drawings bear letter codes. Also valve chest [?] marked "sketched by W. Brown, 19 Dec. 1854"; sketch of steam pipes sent 2 Oct. 1863; slide valve spindle - coloured drawing dated 30 Apr. 1878, coded ACTT.Original Portfolio or 'Book' No. 923.
