When an enemy attack was in progress he visited his posts encouraging his men.At one post the enemy succeeded in getting within bombing range, but he, with revolver fire, prevented the enemy from harrassing his machine gun which was causing them very severe losses. He proved of the greatest assistance to his company commander throughout the action.;
