Description

Brown half-leather album, 305x255mm, containing mounted prints with handwritten captions. There are also 13 loose prints at the back of the album. The name 'Elizabeth Douglas' is written on the front free endpaper. The photographs include: portraits and architectural views in Bombay; a Muharram festival; views of Nasik, the Western Ghats, the Suez Canal and Innsbruck in Austria; a snake charmer; Lord Elgin reviewing troops at Secunderabad; a fire at the Army & Navy Stores in Bombay; Viceregal camp at Rauza; views at Bijapur and anti-plague work in Sangli.
