In performance of a proviso on behalf of H.S. in an indre. of release of 15 November instant between Folliot Sandford (1) Humphrey Sandford (2) Richard Griffiths, gentleman of Great James St., Bedford Row, Middx. (3) Robert Pemberton, gentleman, of the town of Shrewsbury (4) and Jonathan Scott, Esq, of Netley Hall, now resident at Great Marlow, Bucks and the Rev. George Holland, Clerk, of the town of Shrewsbury (5), and in consideration of the rent hereby reserved and the covenants on behalf of F.S., H.S. leases to F.S. the messuage or tenement with the farm lands, and appurtenances belonging in the parish of Edgton now in the occupation of Christopher Wilks at the yearly rent of £140, of 180 acres 2 roods & 39 perches with all outbuildings & lands & privileges belonging, to hold to F.S. and his assigns for 99 years to be computed from the 29 September last past if F.S. so long live, paying yearly to H.S., his heirs & assigns the annual rent of £150 on 2 days in the year, 25 March and 29 September in equal parts, the 1st payment on 25 March next, the same to be freed from the Landtax, tax on income & all other taxes and assessments; provided and it is agreed that if the annual rent is unpaid for 30 days and in case no sufficient distress can be found on the premises, then H.S. can enter the premises and repossess them; and F.S. covenants to pay the rent when it is due; and to pay the land tax, the tax on income already imposed and to be imposed by an Act of Parliament, and all other taxes, assessments and impositions assessed on the premises or on H.S. or F.S. in respect of them; and H.S. covenants that it shall be lawful for F.S. paying the rent reserved and performing the covenants peaceably to hold the messuage & lands without trouble from H.S. or other claimants.
