Number 1-8 comprise deeds, etc., of the Phillips family mainly relating to Shepton Mallet; central to the archive in a Chancery dispute over the will of Robt. Curtis of Milborne Port and N. Brewham, dat. 1809, between Phillips and Hayter 1860-1863. The firm of Hobbes and Slatter of Stratford upon Avon represented the plaintiffs.
