Letter From: Thomas Colyn, Prior of Tywardreth
To: Pope Leo X
Selected contents: Further copy of ART/4/10; slight differences in wording, and occasionally more detail, e.g. that the churches of whose revenues they have been deprived are Seint Uny, Seint Stephyns, Marywyke and Mynster. The Pope is prayed 'to habondon or to endew the said place with som speciall priuilege or endulgens or capacite' of spiritual lands, sufficient to sustain them according to their old and original foundation, and to grant him 'unto the use and augmentacion of more uberious livyng of hym and his covent, by your bulles under leed sealed to be capax and takers of certayn benefices, parsonages or vicarages, cured or without cure' to the yearly value of £100.
