Description

Business papers, accounts, plans valuations, correspondence and some title deeds from the office of Messrs Robinson and Mead of Hemel Hempstead, architects and estate agents.

This collection represents work done by the firm of architects and estate agents successively known as Smith and Robinson and Robinson and Mead of 66 Marlowes, Hemel Hempstead, mainly late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. In addition to dealing with property in Hemel Hempstead and its environs the firm also had the agency of the Beechwood estates of the Sebright family.

Arrangement

In this inventory items are listed as far as possible under the names of the customers, for whom work was done, arranged alphabetically. Where this is not possible documents are grouped according to their nature under the headings sale particulars, plans, architectural drawings, valuations etc, with miscellaneous items placed last.
