Known as Clarke's Brewery, acquired between 1823 and 1830 by John Cox. Bought by Day, Payne and Cox of Westerham 1848, and trading as Day, Noakes and Sons from 1852.
Incorporated 1897.
Acquired Nevile Reid and Co Ltd 1918 and J Canning and Sons, Royal Brewery, Windsor, 1921. Brewing transferred to Windsor 1921.
Acquired by Courage and Co Ltd 1930.
