Description: Volumes of tracing paper copies of outgoing correspondence from the Comptroller on behalf of the Churchwardens. Includes summonses to meetings, communications with the bank about offertory receipts and charity accounts, requests for cheques to be signed (sometimes giving lists of staff members to whom the cheques were to be made payable), letters to the Dean and Canons, letters of condolence, statements of receipts and disbursements on Charity Accounts (especially George Pilkington's Charity and Catherine Richards' Charity), replies to requests for charity, etc. Includes an alphabetical index of personal and corporate names of recipients at the front of each volume. Gap in series: 1905-1911.
