Description

In hand of William Woolfe to June 1828.

Six pages of references inserted in front including references to the Charity Schools in this and preceding book, all relating to the election of trustees.

p.19 21 Nov 1805 list of charges allowable if claimed by the churchwardens, overseers, constable, head-boroughs (not being the beadle) for expenses when called to attend the J.P.s or Court of Lieutenancy, 3s. 6d. each, to the constable for the annual militia list and copy 10s. 6d. and the same for levy en masse and copy if required, and 7s. 6d. for collecting the names of inhabitants.

p.33 22 Sept 1806 (following) qualifications of trustees of the Charity schools.

p.87 30 Apr 1812 churchwardens to be allowed 10 gns for visitation day and 8 gns for perambulating bounds.

p.128 28 July 1815 faculty for enlarging the church.

p.171 28 May 1818 gift of F.M. Ommanney to parish stock.

p.185 2 Sept 1819 part of the workhouse garden granted to trustees of the Charity Schools for building schoolrooms.

p.198 22 Sept 1820 almshouses on the hill to be repaired.

p.201 1 Mar 1821 gallery to be erected for the singers.

p.203 3 Apr 1821 (following) extract from the will of Elizabeth Athaws of Putney, bequeathing £100 to the poor of Mortlake, proved 13 Jan 1820 [see 2414/9/352].

p.261 22 July 1825 passing reference to altar painting given by Vandergucht.

p.305 19 June 1828 resolution to put up a tablet to the memory of Mr Woolfe. Charles King elected vestry clerk. [This tablet can still be seen in the church.]

p.314 resolution to oppose plan to supply pure water to the metropolis via an aqueduct and feeders through Mortlake by Mr Robert Vazie, civil engineer, because it would be injurious to the land owners; committee appointed to oppose any Bills in Parliament.

p.317 21 Apr 1829 parish clerk to be supplied with a proper robe.

p.319 15 May 1829 application to Secretary of State to be included with Wandsworth, Putney and Barnes in Police Bill for protection.

p.321 6 Aug 1829 resolution to improve the church singing, and provide better security for the fire engines.

p.327 22 Oct 1829 parish officers authorized to receive tenders for contracting to supply medicines and give medical attention to the poor.

p.332 4 Feb 1830 new proposed Bill in Parliament for supplying pure water, committee appointed to protect interests of the parish.

p.345 20 Aug 1830 churchwardens to produce statement of accounts at each vestry meeting.

p.347 7 Sept 1830 black cloth used in church because of the death of George IV to go to the clergyman as before.

p.351 18 Oct 1830 appeal of parish of Isleworth, against removal of Robert Larkin.
