The twenty files forming the 'Anglo-Persian Oil Company' subject files were produced by the Political Residency in the Persian Gulf, at Bushire. The 'Anglo-Persian Oil Company' subject files mainly contain correspondence between the Political Resident in the Persian Gulf, Anglo-Persian Oil Company (APOC) representatives, other British authorities, local authorities and representatives of other oil companies on the subject of the petroleum industry mainly in Qatar, but also in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Iran and other Gulf counrties. The topics covered are mainly oil concessions and explorations, but also country borders and geological surveys. A large number of documents are in Arabic, mostly with English translation.
