Description

1. William Fenwick of Byewell co. Northumberland Esq. (executor of will of his late father William Fenwick deceased), Sir Richard Hill of Hawkestone Bart. and Rowland Wingfield of Shrewsbury Esq. executors of will of Sir Rowland Hill late of Hawkestone Bart. deceased.

2. The Rt. Hon. George Garry Earl of Stamford, the Rt. Hon. Thomas Lord Grantham, William Mostyn Owen of Woodhouse Esq., and Thomas Walley Partington of St. George's Hanover Square, Esq. (devisees in trust of the real estate of John Mytton late of Halston Esq. deceased).

3. Andrew Corbet of Moreton Corbet Esq.

4. Sir Henry Bridgeman of Weston Bart.

Consideration:- a written agreement and £5000.

Assignment, in trust to attend freehold, of terms of 500 years (created by a mortgage of 15 December, 1721 John Kynaston and Corbet Kynaston Esqres (since both deceased) for £1400) and of 1000 years (created by mortgage of 30 October 1752 John Corbet of Sundorn Esq. TO John Windsor of Shrewsbury gentleman (since deceased) for £5000); which were to have been assigned 3 July 1760 1. Sir Walter Wagstaff Bagot of Blithfield Bart., William Fenwick deceased and William Lutwyche of Lutwyche Esq. 2. Walter Smythe of Acton Burnell Esq. and Mary his wife 3. John Mytton 4. Sir Rowland Hill (since deceased), in consideration of £5000 which was paid, but William Fenwick never signed the deed.

The £5000 was repaid by John Mytton, Robert Piggott and Barbara Letitia Corbet as trustees under the will of John Corbet deceased, whose son John Corbet was under his will entitled to the fee simple of the mortgaged premises, which he released to John Mytton 13 and 14 September, 1774.

The property has now been sold 24 and 25 March, 1786. 1. Edward Williams Esq. and Barbara Letitia his wife, late Barbara Letitia Corbet widow 2. George Harry, Earl of Stamford, Thomas Lord Grantham, William Mostyn Owen, Thomas Walley Partington, 3. Andrew Corbet; and consisted of a capital messuage in Acton Reynold in the parishes of Shawsbury and Moreton Corbet, with great tithes in Acton Reynold (except on a messuage, garden and hempyard, tenant Richard Williams; and on Pains Brooke (37a 16p) in Acton Reynold, tenant late Richard Smith, now John Minor of Woodstile gentleman; and on 127 acres held by John Minor by lease for lives from Andrew Corbet; and on 6 parcels of John Minor's freehold land (33 a); and on 2 acres adjoining the Stack Yard of the Woodstile (tenant William Hampton under John Wood of Espley the present owner), and on all allotments from commons of Acton Raynold conveyed to John Mytton, which, with apew in the north aisle of Shawbury church adjoining the best pew in the middle aisle, were all sold by the devisees to John Minor for £1050).
