Bound copy measuring 325 x 255 mm of a printed work (originally published in soft covers), this copy interleaved with blank sheets onto which photographs are loosely corner mounted with pencilled captions beneath. The photographs relate directly to the subject matter of the book, which gives brief anthropological surveys of the major hill tribes of the Shan States, and consist of ethnographical portraits of individuals and groups of Upper Burma. Although the prints are small, the quality of the photographs themselves is generally good.
