Descriptive Catalogue of illuminated Manuscripts [including the famous "Bedford Book of Hours"], miniature portraits, sculptures, engraved gems, enamels and other curios of Margaret, Duchess of Portland; followed by a catalogue of her pictures. A prefatory note, dated Bulstrode, Nov., 1784, and signed by Mary Hamilton, states that nothing is included that was not either purchased by the Duchess or given to her, "neither are pictures etc., which the late Earl of Oxford gave to the late Duke of Portland or any part of the Collection at Welbeck."
The collection was sold by auction, Apr.-June, 1786 (see "A Catalogue the Portland Museum", etc., compiled for the sale).
