The album of photographs was assembled by David James Hallard, who had worked as a Waterways Inspector with Manchester City Council. David James Hallard was born c.1865-70 and died in 1938. The album was given to the depositor for suitable disposal by Mrs Marion Hallard, widow of John Hallard who was the son of David James Hallard.
