For Pool Mine. The agreement was made by William Harris and Thomas Kevill for the adventurers. According to the List of Engines made at Soho, the engine was stopped in Apr. 1784 and sold to Chacewater Mine, where it started work in May 1785. It was stopped in Mar. 1789. It was later sold to the United Mines, who erected it at Poldory Mine, where it replaced both Poldory's original 48 inch engine and the 30 inch engine which had originally come from Chacewater (Wheal Busy) [see Portfolio 5/1295]. It began work at Poldory in Dec. 1794, and it was still at work there in May 1798.
