Description (What the record is about)

Large volume in stiff vellum cover, entitled: 'Rye. Articles for the Qualifications of and Government of a Charity School founded by the will of Mr. James Sanders Dec'd Agreed upon the 24th Day of March 1720. And also a Register of the Names of the ... Children sent to the said School.' The contents do not include a list of children other than the formal order of the court directing admittance. There are also some proceedings of Peacocke's School trustees entered in the reverse, 1724-1812.
