Description

Bound volume (in green, wrap-around cover) with the title Field Notes - Mesopotamia. General Staff, India. February, 1917. Catalogue No. M. 3. (11349). Calcutta, Superintendent Government Printing. The fly-leaf bears the signature "Major R C F Schomberg DSO".

Contains chapters on history, geography, population, resources, the Turkish Army, maritime information, communications, and routes. Inside the front cover is a folded map of "Lower Mesopotamia" (Scale 1" = 32 miles), SDO No. 1620, Oct 1916, showing routes in red.
