Description:

1. Construction of a railway commencing in the parish of Ely St. Mary, at Ely Passenger Station and terminating in the parish of Timworth (co. Suffolk) by a junction with the Bury St. Edmunds and Thetford Railway.

2. Construction of a railway to form a junction between the Great Eastern Railway and Railway No. 1 in the parishes of Ely Trinity and St. Mary.

Passing through the following parishes:

1. St. Mary and Holy Trinity, both in Ely, Soham, Fordham, Isleham (all co. Cambridgeshire). Freckenham, Worlington, Barton Mills, Mildenhall, Icklingham All Saints, West Stow, Lackford, (parishes)

- Flempton, Culford, Hengrave, Fornham St. Genevieve, Timworth (all co. Suffolk).

2. St. Mary and Holy Trinity, Ely.
