16 Nov. Successor as headmaster selected - Mr. Phillips
30 Nov. Recovering from quite severe illness [?lobar pneumonia]. Paid Dr. Moore 15/- for his attendances. Promised to vacate the School House by Jan. 1st
7 Dec. Reference to death of old friend F. F. Wheeler, former headmaster of Parish Church Boys' School, Cheltenham
16 Dec. His wife has another stroke. Unable to speak for a time

3 Jan. Move from school house has been completed - papers etc. all sorted and put away
15 Jan. Meeting at the School to promote the formation of a Branch of the Church of England Men's Society
19 Jan. Drew up petition, to be signed by principal householders, that Annie Garness be appointed postmistress vice her mother (resigned)
27 Jan. Names of current teachers at Churchdown School set out
1 Feb. Attended at school - although 31 Jan. was properly the last day - as successor (Mr. Phillips) was busy unpacking etc.
4 Feb. Tea party at school re. Mr. Swift's retirement as headmaster. Presented with purse containing £35, also illuminated testimonial in oak frame. Also presented with a clock as gift of school children

14 Feb. Description of the 'Meet' at Falfield
3 March Elected to represent Churchdown C.E.M.S. at forthcoming conference in Gloucester
17 April Appointed one of the Overseers of the Poor
25 April Child aged about 6 knocked down by motor car and killed (fractured skull)
15 June Parents of dead child paid £30 by driver of car - as "payment of expenses"
6 July Visit to Cirencester with C.E.M.S. - description of Parish Church etc.
