Description

Photograph (b/w) of 13th century Mongolian astronomical instrument at Pekin[g], taken March 1898 by A C Yate (Honorary Secretary to the Royal Central Asian Society, 1919-22).

The photograph was discovered (in 1974) inside a volume in the RSAA Library: H de Windt, From Pekin to Calais by Land (1889).
