Account of William Beoley and Richard Peynter, Proctors of the Guild of the Holy Cross, the Blessed Mary, and St. John Baptist, from the Feast of the Translation of St. Thomas the Martyr, 5 Henry VI., to the Morrow of the same Feast, 6 Henry VI
The Account is rendered under the following headings
Arrears
Rents of Assize. (£6 12s 8d of the rent of Assize this year, as appears by the Rental, &c.)
Receipt of moneys. (56s 10d received of divers Brothers and Sisters of the Guild, being at the Feast this year, except the 6 Chaplains and 15 Brothers of the Guild who were serving and who were officers, with other strangers, Receipts for light, &c.)
Sum of the receipts, £9 17s 8d
Delivery of moneys. (Paid for chief rents for tenements within the town, 7s 1d, viz., for the Hall of the Guild, &c. Wine for the Chapel, &c.)
Release and decay of rent. (20d rent of the house of St. Mary in "le Oldtown," &c.)
Cost of the light. (18lbs. of wax at 7d per lb. bought at Coventry; expenses of the Proctors at Coventry and on the road, 10d; keep of their horses, 4d; making lights for the 3 beams in the Chapel, viz., the High Cross, the Blessed Mary, and St. John Baptist; mention of the "image" of the High Cross in the Church, &c.)

For the "Reportatione" of tables and "tristells" from the Church to the Hall "post jactationem (?) plumbi ibidem," 2d; 1 "mensa" bought for mending the wheel of the lamp before the High Cross in the Church, and for making the same, 2d; 1 "scapha" and 1 "ladull" bought for the consecration of the Chapel, 1d. Paid for a fowl bought for the supper of the Suffragan, 2½; "Frankensens," 1d. Various travelling expenses, &c.)

Geese and pullets.(Geese at 2d and 2½ each, pullets at 1d and 1½d.)
Coal and fuel for the feast. ("Coloratione" of 12 black "shaphorum," 12d.)
Milk and wine (includes payments for "Vge" (? verjuice)
Spice
Stipends of cooks and other servants. (12 "turnebrochys," 2s.)
