Indenture of marriage settlement between ffrances Keyt of Barton on the Heath, co. Warwick, esquire, one of the sons of John Keyt late of Ebrington, co. Gloucs., esquire, and Sir Thomas Spencer of Eardington als. Yarnton, co. Oxford, baronet, whereby, in consideration of a marriage theretofore had between ffrances Keyt and Alice his then wife, one of the daughters of Sir William Spencer late of Eardington als. Yarnton, knight and baronet and sister of Sir Thomas, and in consideration of the sum of £1000 (upon the grant release and assurance of the Manor of Packwood, the Parke and Impropriate Rectory of Packwood, co. Warwick, by them ffrances Keyt and Alice his wife to Sir Thomas Spencer) and for the better provision of a Joynture, he ffrances Keyt agreed and covenanted with Sir Thomas Spencer that he, ffrances Keyt should be seised of the following lands, viz. the pasture ground above the Old Sheephouse, the meadow below the Old Sheephouse, two pastures called the Old Sidlongs, one messuage called the Parsonage house with orchard garden and backside, two pooles and the Little Close thereto belonging, the meadow called the Moores then or late in the possession of Antony Brookes als Weaver and the Hoppyard therein contained, the Church Close then or late in the possession of Michael Garrett, the lower meadowe below the Old Sheephouse, the new Sheephouse pasture, the pasture above the Moores, three meadows called the Pooles, Sugers meadowe and the meadow called Ledburyes with all the tythe haye and haye Silver, and one yard land of arrable meadow and pasture then or late in the occupation of Nathaniell Roberts and ffrances Elletts, all which premises are situate in Broadway, co. Worcs., and were theretofore purchased by John Keyt, esquire, father of the said ffrances Keyt of William Sheldon the elder and William Sheldon the younger of Broadway, esquires, to the only use and behoof of ffrances Keyt during his lifetime and after his decease to Alice his wife for her jointure, and after the death of both to their children or his heirs for ever.
