Description

The rented housing programme comprised eight parcels and records relating to sites A, B and C and site 7 have been selected for preservation. RMJM were the architects.

Records relating to site 6A have also been preserved. This was one of eight parcels of private housing and was developed by Bellway.

Administrative / biographical background

Clayton Brook was the second housing area to be built in the New Town and is situated to the southeast of the Walton Summit Employment Area (see: NTC 17). It was initially known as Walton Summit Residential Area. Approval for housing was granted on 23 May 1974.
