Fawcettiana

A collection of material related directly to Millicent Garrett Fawcett and other members of the Fawcett Family. It includes several presentation albums given to Millicent Garrett Fawcett in commemoration of her being made a Dame of the British Empire, of her visit to the London Society for Women's Suffrage Oriental Fete and as part of New Year and Birthday celebrations. The material in this collection also includes the commonplace book of Agnes Garrett, containing an entry written by Millicent, a diary of Phillippa Fawcett's visit to Ireland, Millicents personal scrapbook of material related to women's suffrage and a collection of poems copied of cut out and kept by Millicent. Finally, there is a small amount of material on the death of Millicent, including orders of service for both her funeral and memorial service and press clippings related to her life and her memory.
