'A Chart of Part of the Coast of Labradore from Shecatica to Chateaux'. Survey shows coastline, hydrography, anchorages, harbours, topography, vegetation, land marks, sight lines, remarks (including 'remarks on the coast of Labradore from Shecatica to Chateaux' and 'surveyed by order of the Honorable Commodore Byron Governor of Newfoundland, Labradore etc by Michael Lane, 1769, to which is added part of the Coast of Newfoundland from Quirpoon to Point Farolle, surveyed by order of Commodore Palliser, Governor of Newfoundland and Labradore by James Cook, 1764') and explanatory key. Colour manuscript. Latitude indicated; north point with compass indicators (orientation to north north west). Scale: 12 inches to 12 miles, 60 to the degree. Surveyed by James Cook, 1764 and Michael Lane, 1769. Annotated in pencil: squaring and in black ink: 'Mounted in 1836' with monogram [illegible]
