Silena Ramsay (Woburn) to Sarah Moore her mother. (sent by E. Johnson) Pious sentiments - My husband, finding it impossible to pay this half-year's rent, we being much straitened for money. I thought it advisable to acquaint thee with it rather than my father, as thou will be a properer person to speak to him about it. I think no care has been wanting lately in the farm but we are sometimes but [put?] to shifts.
